LIVE MUSIC AT THE DOE BAY CAFE! (Friday, January 28 @ 7pm) Join the Doe Bay Café for some amazing food and music! This week's band is Low Hums, consisting of the primary duo of Jonas Haskins and Jason Merculief along with a fantastic cast of talented friends. Initially started as a winter studio project in 2007, Low Hums expanded to a full band in 2010, so far releasing 2 EP's. "ENDINGS...AND NEW BEGINNINGS" AT THE ORCAS ISLAND LIBRARY (Thursday, Jan 27 & Monday, Jan. 31)  An evening discussion about coping with a break-up and creating a new life. This discussion will be facilitated by Virginia Erhardt, Ph.D, Licensed Psychologist. There will be two sessions offered.  For women, the meeting time will be Thursday, January 27th, 7:15pm to 9pm, and for men, Monday, January 31st, 7:15 to 9pm, in the Orcas Island Library Conference Room.  When one is not the initiator, the end of a relationship is often experienced as a crisis-a trauma that calls into question one's identity, one's self-esteem, and even life's meaning.  A break-up can be especially difficult in a small community, where one may feel more exposed and vulnerable. The cost is $5.00 per person for the evening, to be donated to the library.  The class will be limited to 15 participants.  Pre-registration is required, payment can be made at the meeting.
